I’m grateful for experience.
I’m very grateful for all of the experiences I’ve been through; good and bad. The good ones brought me joy and have made life so much more fun. The bad ones have taught me how to be, how to react, when to listen and when to act, who I am, who I’m not, what to change, what to keep, where to go, how to get there, what I want, what I don’t want, what really matters, and what doesn’t. Experience has taught and brought value to my life, and has been one of the very best teachers.
I’ve grown, I’ve changed, I’ve evolved so much in the last 7 years and I keep learning from each experience as I go. Experience brings wisdom, knowledge, and insight. Experience shapes who we are, who we are becoming, and where we are going. Though the highway of life is never a straight, flat line and isn’t without its road blocks, potholes, and detours its absolutely worth the ride. Experience can be exhilarating and suspenseful, it can be long and boring, it can be rocky and painful but the scenery we encounter along the way can be breathtakingly beautiful if we take a minute to enjoy it for everything it offers. Experience is the very purpose of living.
It’s up to us what we do with that experience, and what we choose to learn from it. We can remain the same, or implement the lesson and allow ourselves to be changed by it. The latter leads to growth.
Do not allow fear to rob you of experiences. Fear does nothing but hold you back from living life and stunts your growth. Fear is a boring existence. You weren’t born to play small, you were born to live a beautiful life shaped by experience. You were born to add to the human experience; yours and those of others. You are important. You matter. Your experiences are a beautiful contribution to your life and the lives of those around you. Live it. Love it. Learn from it. Most importantly, enjoy the ride!
What are you grateful for?
