Today I'm grateful for silver linings.
There is a lesson in everything we go through, and these lessons are the silver linings that help us learn from what we go through. They turn our struggles into strengths and help give us a new perspective on our situations. Finding a silver lining while your struggling isn't always easy, but once you take a step back from the situation and ask yourself, "what can I learn from this?" instead of "why is this happening to me?" the silver lining will present itself. Silver linings offer us hope and understanding that there is a positive in every negative. We just need to be open to seeing it.
I try to see the good in all situations, but sometimes that's just not an easy thing, especially when emotions are involved, or the negativity is deep and drowning out everything else. Oh, but we need that hope that the situation wasn't all for nothing that those silver linings offer us in order to get through it. Clear your head by focusing just on your breath, every inhale and exhale. Stay in that space with your breathing until you feel the calm envelop your entire body. Now that your in that relaxed state, think about what you can take away from your situation in order to better yourself, understand, and learn from what happened. This is your silver lining.
